I'm Ba-ack

So I took a bit of a blogging hiatus. Let's just say that the new job was all-encompassing there for a minute and free time has been scarce. But all is well in the world of Lins. The job is phenomenal and I am learning the ins and outs of the Property Management business as well as the Finance and Accounting aspects of everything. The left side of my brain has been getting it's fair share of exercise lately and it's time that the right got a bit of a work out. So blogger buddies, I need your help. My best photographs always came from random school assignments with really obscure themes. And I am in need of a theme to get me going. I have been picking my brain but have come up with nothing worth while. So any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

  1. You really do have a great blog here. I have a blog myself which brings inspiration and guidance to people all around the world. Life is hard enough, and I hope my site can contribute anything positive to someone's day.

I'd like to exchange links with you to help spread some traffic around between each other. Please let me know if this is possible. Until then, keep up the good work.

  2. Oh my God Lins! I was wondering these months what was happening with you. Y'know how it is when you don't see anything new from someone for a long time, it kinda makes you wonder.

Your new profile pic is a huge departure from previous, it's very captivating. Looks like the new year has perhaps brought with it new changes on several fronts? I'm glad you like your new job, my wife has been in Property Management for years.

I have a couple suggestions for your photography...

1)What do you find beautiful? Where do you find it? Everyone thinks of portraits, flowers, sunsets, rainbows etc. These are all valid, but they've become rather cliche.

What's always inspired me with your photography (and I believe I remarked on it last year) is your eye for the obscure.

I think you find beauty in things that most people would overlook. How about doing something in the theme of "The Unseen World", showing the beauty of everyday objects (a weed growing through a crack, a rotting piece of fruit, a wet pebble on the sidewalk etc.)?

2)A shoot of things that inspire you, that you're passionate about.

3)An exposee on things that represent who you are under your surface. If you feel moody sometimes, and who doesn't, it could be a photo of a storm. Maybe a picture of your favourite flower, (an orchid perhaps?), to represent your inner beauty. Things of this nature.
